Kanye West Claims He “Beat the Grammys” After Controversial Red Carpet Appearance

Kanye West’s strategy to overshadow the 2025 Grammy Awards appears to have worked to perfection, thanks to his red carpet antics and his wife Bianca Censori’s attention-grabbing outfit. While West was nominated for Best Rap Song for his track “Carnival,” it was his wife’s daring, see-through ensemble that stole the headlines. Censori’s outfit exposed her naked body, sparking a media frenzy and making waves across social media.

In a series of now-deleted Instagram posts on February 4, West boasted that he and his wife had “beat the Grammys,” sharing stats that showed Google searches for “Bianca Censori Grammys” outpaced searches for “Grammy winners 2025,” as well as other trending topics like “Kendrick Lamar Grammys” and “Beyoncé Grammys.”

“For clarity. February 4th 2025. My wife is the most Googled person on the planet called Earth,” West proudly declared in a follow-up post.

While rumors swirled that West and Censori had been kicked out of the ceremony due to her provocative attire, those claims were quickly debunked. A source close to the Grammys confirmed to Variety that the couple simply “walked the carpet, got in his car and left.”

Despite this, West accused former CNN host Don Lemon of spreading the false story after Lemon addressed the rumors in a video. West fired back on Instagram, calling Lemon a “goofball” and criticizing the media for their portrayal of his actions. Lemon responded, clarifying that he had only corrected the misinformation after it had been widely reported.
