Fatman Scoop’s Cause Of Death Revealed After Rapper Collapsed On Stage

The cause of death for beloved rapper and hypeman Fatman Scoop, born Isaac Freeman III, has been revealed. The 53-year-old passed away due to hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, the Connecticut Chief Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed on Tuesday. His death was ruled as natural.

Fatman Scoop tragically collapsed while performing at a summer concert at Hamden Town Center Park on August 30, 2024. The event, held just six miles from New Haven, saw the hypeman suffer a sudden fall during his performance, which ultimately led to his passing.

Fatman Scoop was well-known for his energetic stage presence and booming voice, immortalized by his hit “Be Faithful.” He was a respected figure in both the music and radio industries.
