Nicki Minaj Clarifies Her Super Bowl LIX Rant Wasn’t Meant To Disrespect Kendrick Lamar

Nicki Minaj recently expressed her deep admiration and respect for both Kendrick Lamar and Lil Wayne, clarifying that her support for one artist does not diminish her love for the other. In response to fans questioning her recent comments about Lil Wayne, she emphasized that “you can love and respect Kendrick and still love and respect Wayne,” noting that both rappers share mutual admiration for each other as well.
Minaj, who has a history of praising her Young Money mentor Lil Wayne, reassured fans that Kendrick Lamar is also highly respected within the industry. While she has yet to collaborate with Lamar, Minaj has previously mentioned that she’s a fan of his talent and looks forward to working with him in the future.
Her remarks came after some controversy over the Super Bowl halftime show, where fans speculated about her allegiance to certain artists. Minaj used the moment to remind everyone of her unapologetic approach to supporting those she believes in, while also promoting her upcoming Pink Friday 2 tour.
