Recent developments reveal that Garcia tested positive for the banned substance ostarine in two separate tests conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) leading up to his April 20 fight against Haney. Renowned boxing journalist Dan Rafael initially reported this information on Wednesday. Garcia’s positive results were recorded in both a pre-fight urine test on April 19 and a post-fight urine test on April 20.

Furthermore, Garcia’s April 19 sample also showed indications of 19-Norandrosterone, a metabolite of nandrolone and bolandione. However, confirmation of this finding awaits additional analysis through Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS).
