Jada Pickett Smith Says Chris Rock Tried To Shoot His Shot After He Heard She and Will Were Getting A Divorce

We guess we all know why Will Smith slapped the dog $hit out of Chris Rock at the Oscars. Jada Pinkett-Smith got social media buzzing since her new book Worthy is revealing family secrets and more. She revealed her and Will has been separated since 2016. She has also revealed to People that in the past Chris Rock asked her out after divorce rumors surfaced. She goes into detail with People.

“I think every summer all the reports would come out that me and Will were getting a divorce. And this particular summer, Chris, he thought that we were getting a divorce. So he called me and basically he was like, ‘I’d love to take you out.’ And I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ He was like, ‘Well, aren’t you and Will getting a divorce?’ I was like, ‘No. Chris, those are just rumors.’ He was appalled. And he profusely apologized and that was that.”
