53RD NAACP Image Awards: LaKeith Stanfield Talks “Keeping It 100!”

The 53rd NAACP Image Awards occurred this past weekend with appearances from Damson Idris, Issa Rae, Zendaya and many more.
IOE’s correspondent Shaysayss got to sit down with Actor LaKeith Stanfield to talk about what he would like his legacy to be and entail.
“Keeping it 100 at all times…” says Stanfield. “Everytime you see me you know that it will always be 100 percent authentic, that’s something in our everyday lives that we don’t get the opportunity to do or be… but I’ve chosen the path to be 100, 100% of the time…”
Stanfield was nominated for Outstanding Actor In A Motion Picture for Judas and the Black Messiah; up against Will Smith, Denzel Washington, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Majors. At the end of the night Will Smith won the category for his performance in King Richard.
Check out the clip below for LaKeith’s full answer and thank you to BET for the invite.
