50 Cent Knocked Out Ja Rule During Their Fight In Atlanta

The long-standing feud between 50 Cent and Ja Rule has delivered countless stories over the years, but Tony Yayo recently added his own take on a physical altercation between the two rap icons. Speaking on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, the G-Unit member recalled the time 50 allegedly knocked out Ja Rule in Atlanta back in 2000.

“50 beat Ja Rule up in Atlanta,” Yayo said during the interview. “Fif K.O.’d that nia […] We at the same hotel. I was in the building. Nias tried to front on 50. Bow! 50 caught him stone cold. He a southpaw — that’s how 50 always knocked out ni**as in the hood ’cause he’s left-handed.”

Yayo also revealed that after the altercation, 50 added insult to injury by stealing Ja Rule’s chain, which later appeared in the “Wanksta” music video. “[Ja Rule] yells out, ‘Murda!’ That ni**a’s eye [swells up],” Yayo recounted. “We get in the elevator and that’s when 50 shows us the chain that’s in ‘Wanksta.’ He goes, ‘Look what I got.’ So he snuffed him and yanked him.”

Ja Rule, however, has long maintained a different version of the story. In his 2014 autobiography, Unruly, the “Always On Time” rapper claimed he came out on top. “50 tried to swing on me, but I dipped, then I hit him with the baby Louisville Slugger,” Ja wrote. “I pulled the shirt over his head. I started catching him left, right, uppercut. I hit him with the crutch.”

Chris Gotti, co-founder of Murder Inc., offered his own account during a 2016 interview with VladTV. According to Gotti, Ja Rule managed to retaliate after taking the first punch, pulling 50’s shirt over his head and fighting back before 50 eventually fled the scene.
