Zaire Wade, the eldest son of NBA legend Dwyane Wade, is now facing a felony charge following his recent arrest in California.

According to reports, prosecutors have officially moved forward with one felony charge against the former basketball player after he was arrested last month in Burbank.

As previously reported, police responded to a residence around 5:30 a.m. on June 21 after receiving calls about a woman screaming inside the home. Dispatch records also reportedly noted concerns about yelling and stomping coming from the residence, leading authorities to believe a domestic disturbance may have been taking place.

When officers arrived at the scene, they reportedly found Zaire and a woman who allegedly had lacerations on her face and body.

Despite the reported injuries, the woman was not transported to a hospital.

Following the incident, Zaire was initially booked on three charges: felony domestic violence, criminal threats, and false imprisonment. Authorities also issued an emergency protective order in connection with the case.

Zaire later posted a $50,000 bond and was released from custody.

The latest development confirms that at least one felony charge remains active as the legal process continues.

Neither Zaire Wade nor his family has publicly commented on the newly filed charge. The allegations against him have not yet been proven in court, and he remains presumed innocent unless and until found guilty.

The case remains ongoing.
