Actor Tyrese Gibson is facing serious heat in Atlanta after being charged in connection with an incident where his Cane Corso dogs allegedly k!lled a neighbor’s pet spaniel.

According to Fulton County jail records, the Fast & Furious star surrendered to police just before 6 a.m. Friday morning, right before the deadline authorities had given him. He was quickly processed and later released on a $20,000 bond.

“Earlier this morning, Mr. Tyrese Gibson voluntarily turned himself in to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office to answer the misdemeanor warrant,” his attorney Gabe Banks said in a statement. “Throughout this entire process Mr. Gibson has cooperated fully with legal authorities and will continue to do so until this matter is resolved.”

The case stems from a Sept. 18 incident in Buckhead, when Tyrese’s neighbor let their 5-year-old King Charles Cavalier Spaniel out in the yard. Minutes later, they discovered the small dog had been attacked by what they believe were Tyrese’s Cane Corsos. Despite being rushed to the vet, the spaniel did not survive.

Doorbell footage released by Fulton County authorities shows several large dogs roaming the neighborhood — scratching at doors and barking — just minutes before the attack. Police say Gibson’s dogs had already been reported running loose at least five times in the days leading up to the tragedy.

On Sept. 22, Tyrese initially agreed to surrender the dogs, but later refused, prompting officials to obtain a search warrant for his property and an arrest warrant for animal cruelty.

On Instagram, Tyrese expressed remorse:

“The incident left me shocked, devastated, and heartbroken for the family affected. As an empath, my heart hurts deeply for their unimaginable loss, and I’ve been trying to reach out directly to express my sorrow and condolences.”

For now, Tyrese remains free as the case plays out in court — but the Fulton County community is still shaken over the tragedy.
