🏠⚖️ Todd Tucker Claps Back at Kandi Burruss: Says He Was Kicked Out — Now Wants Primary Custody

The divorce battle between Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker just took another turn.

After Kandi claimed Todd was living “rent-free” in her Atlanta guest house and not contributing financially, Todd has now fired back in court documents — and he’s telling a very different story.

According to filings obtained by TMZ, Todd admitted he is currently living in the guest house on Kandi’s property. However, he says it wasn’t by choice. In his response, Todd claims Kandi “unilaterally removed” him from the main residence by directing family members to move his belongings out without his consent and without court intervention.

Todd says he did not voluntarily leave the home but chose not to escalate the situation in order to “preserve peace and stability.”

He also pushed back on Kandi’s claims about financial neglect. Todd alleges that before their split, they both contributed money into a joint account to cover household expenses. He claims that after the separation, Kandi told him she would stop using that shared account and would handle the bills herself.

In the filing, Todd states:

“[Kandi] now attempts to reframe and weaponize this self-created financial arrangement as evidence of financial instability or neglect, while the timing and sequence of events demonstrate otherwise.”

Todd also addressed parenting concerns. While Kandi has been in New York working on a Broadway project, Todd says he has remained in Georgia caring for their children. He accused Kandi of attempting to shift attention away from what he described as her “ongoing physical absence” and reliance on third-party childcare.

Now, Todd is requesting primary legal and physical custody on a temporary basis until a permanent parenting plan is established.

As previously reported, Kandi filed for divorce in November 2025 initially seeking joint custody. However, after Todd requested sole custody, she amended her filing to request sole custody herself.

With both sides making serious claims, this divorce battle appears far from settled.
