đŹ Tichina Arnold Secures Major First-Look Deal With CBS As âThe Neighborhoodâ Nears Its Final Season
Veteran actress Tichina Arnold is making big moves behind the scenes as the final chapter of The Neighborhood approaches.
After more than two decades of working with CBS Studios, Arnold has officially signed a first-look development deal with the studio through her production company Queen Light Productions, which she launched alongside her sister Zenay. The deal allows Arnold to develop and produce new television projects with CBS as she transitions into the next phase of her career.
âI am extremely excited to have a first-look deal with CBS Studios,â Arnold shared in a recent interview. âMy sister Zenay and I started a company called Queens Light, and itâs amazing to continue working creatively with a studio and team that weâve already been part of for so long.â
The announcement comes as The Neighborhood prepares to wrap up its eighth and final season, with the finale expected to air in May after more than 150 episodes. Arnold has been a key part of the hit comedy since it premiered in 2018, and she also stepped behind the camera to direct her second television episode this season.
Before the showâs run, Arnold had already built an impressive relationship with CBS. She famously starred in Everybody Hates Chris, portraying the tough-loving mother of the young Chris Rock character played by Tyler James Williams.
Of course, many fans still know Arnold best for her breakout role on Martin, where she played Pam â the hilarious best friend to Gina and constant target of jokes from Martin Lawrenceâs character.
Even as she celebrates the success of her current projects, Arnold says sheâs already developing new ideas â including a potential project about a very prominent woman and singer whose story she hopes to tell someday.
While sheâs keeping the details under wraps for now, Arnold says the end of The Neighborhood has been emotional for everyone involved.
âEight seasons of working on The Neighborhood taught me so much,â she said. âWhat made it special was that everyone genuinely wanted to be there. It felt like the perfect mix of people.â
Arnold also teased that fans still have plenty to look forward to before the show ends.
âYouâre going to laugh and feel good,â she said. âItâs one of those shows the whole family can sit down and watch together.â
As the series prepares to close its final chapter, Arnold is clearly just getting started on the next one.
