Teyana Taylor Ordered To Pay Iman Shumpert $70,000 After Violating Divorce Order

Teyana Taylor’s divorce battle with ex-husband Iman Shumpert just got a pricey twist.

According to Us Weekly, a judge has ordered the multi-hyphenate star to cough up $70,000 to cover Shumpert’s legal fees after finding her in contempt of court. The August 5 ruling claims Taylor willfully violated their divorce judgment by spilling prohibited information in a March 19 Instagram video.

Taylor tried to argue that Shumpert himself leaked details to the press, but the court wasn’t convinced—stating she failed to provide “even a minimal amount of diligence” to back her claims.

Shumpert told the court Taylor has the means to pay, pointing to her busy career with multiple movie roles and an upcoming TV series. The order also noted she refused to answer questions about her finances.

Adding to the tension, messages entered into evidence showed the exes trading barbs. “You’re so bitter and clearly can’t seem to get out of your emotions! … YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL VICTIM. Leave me the hell alone PLEASE!!!!” Taylor allegedly texted. Shumpert’s response? “You keep trying to text first and be professional after you crash out. It’s getting tired.”
