T.I. Says Verzuz with 50 Cent Is DEAD: “I Don’t Respect Him”

It looks like the long-rumored Verzuz between T.I. and 50 Cent is officially off the table — and according to Tip, it’s not because the idea came out of nowhere.

During a recent episode of Million Dollars Worth of Game with Gillie Da Kid and Wallo267, T.I. broke down what he says really happened behind the scenes.

T.I. claims he and 50 had already discussed the possibility of doing a Verzuz battle years ago while they were both in Los Angeles working on television projects.

According to Tip:

  • He asked 50 about doing Verzuz directly.
  • 50 allegedly agreed in the moment.
  • The plan was for T.I. to publicly “jump out there” first.
  • Then 50 would follow up and they’d line it up officially.

But when T.I. made the idea public, he says 50 responded like he had no clue what was being discussed.

That’s when things shifted.

Tip explained that if 50 simply didn’t want to do it, he would’ve respected that. What bothered him, he says, was the public dismissal after what he believed was a private agreement.

For T.I., it stopped being about music and started being about character.

He didn’t mince words either.

“That shit ain’t gonna happen.”

“I don’t want to stand on stage with him.”

“I don’t respect him.”

With that, T.I. says the Verzuz battle is officially dead.

Whether fans ever get to see those catalogs face off now seems unlikely — at least from Tip’s perspective.
