A star-studded boxing doubleheader featuring Shakur Stevenson vs. William Zepeda and Edgar Berlanga vs. Hamzah Sheeraz brought both drama in the ring and out of it, as hip-hop royalty Remy Ma, Papoose, and undefeated champion Claressa Shields were all spotted ringside in Queens.

Shakur Stevenson emerged victorious in the night’s opening bout, securing a unanimous decision over William Zepeda. Post-fight, Stevenson explained, “I came here to prove a point… I got dog in me.”

In the second main event, Edgar Berlanga hoped for a big win but was thwarted by rising talent Hamzah Sheeraz, who scored a knockout in a dramatic upset  .

What caught attention beyond the fights was the tense seating arrangement. Claressa Shields—widely celebrated as the “GWOAT” of women’s boxing—was perched in the front row with Papoose, the rapper now her boyfriend. Just across the ring, Remy Ma, Papoose’s soon-to-be ex-wife, sat alongside her longtime collaborator Fat Joe, who even escorted Berlanga to the ring with their classic hit “Lean Back”  .

A viral social media clip showcased the charged dynamic: Shields appeared focused on the fights, but viewers zeroed in on the emotional undercurrent between the trio. On X, Shields playfully reacted to “Lean Back,” quipping:

This evening delivered more than just boxing thrills—it was a live drama, where romance, rivalry, and celebrity clashed under the bright lights of Ringside III. The fallout will surely fuel more headlines as the feuds outside the ring heat up.
