President Donald Trump has indicated he would consider a pardon for music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs if he believes Combs was mistreated during his ongoing federal criminal trial. During a press briefing on May 30, 2025, Trump stated, “I would certainly look at the facts” if asked about a potential pardon, emphasizing that his decision would not be influenced by personal relationships.

Combs is currently on trial in Manhattan, facing serious charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. The trial has featured testimony from multiple witnesses alleging abuse and exploitation.

Trump acknowledged a past friendship with Combs but noted they haven’t spoken in years, stating that their relationship ended when he entered politics. He emphasized that any decision regarding a pardon would be based solely on the facts of the case and whether he believes Combs was treated unfairly.

As the trial continues, the possibility of a presidential pardon remains uncertain, contingent on the outcome of the proceedings and any formal requests made to the White House.
