After nearly three years behind bars, Pooh Shiesty is officially a free man. The β€œBack in Blood” rapper β€” real name Lontrell D. Williams β€” was released from federal prison on October 6, according to his attorney Bradford Cohen.

Cohen confirmed the news on Instagram the following day, writing:

β€œ@poohshiesty is ready. Wait until you see his comeback. He will be bigger than ever. I’m always glad to see a client start the climb back up to elite status. Always kept it 100.”

The attorney added that while prosecutors wanted the rapper to serve 10 years, his team managed to negotiate a much shorter stay:

β€œThe government wanted 10… he got 3. I always think there is a plan for people β€” and his story isn’t over, it’s just starting.”

The 25-year-old Memphis native was originally sentenced to five years and three months in federal prison after pleading guilty in 2022 to conspiring to possess firearms in furtherance of crimes of violence and drug trafficking.

Court documents detailed three separate incidents tied to the case, including a 2020 shooting at a Memphis gas station and an October 2020 deal in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida, where Shiesty and associates allegedly tried to purchase marijuana, codeine, and sneakers before violence broke out.

Thanks to time served and good behavior, the rapper was granted an early release β€” and now, his fans are buzzing about what’s next.

Known for his raw delivery and breakout hits under Gucci Mane’s 1017 label, Pooh Shiesty was one of the hottest names in street rap before his incarceration. His lawyer says the comeback will be β€œbigger than ever,” and industry insiders are already predicting a major return to the charts.

Welcome home, Pooh. The streets are watching. πŸ‘€
