Paul Pierce is officially on the hook for thousands of dollars in monthly child support for his son with Princess Santiago — but the NBA legend won’t be paying anywhere near the amount she originally requested.

According to court documents, Pierce has been ordered to pay Santiago $8,508 per month in temporary child support for their son, King Rafael Santiago Pierce.

The judge noted that the current amount is temporary and could be changed as the case continues.

And the monthly payments aren’t the only bill Pierce has been ordered to handle. The former NBA star must also pay $100,000 toward Santiago’s legal fees, along with another $10,000 for her to retain a forensic accountant.

The child-support dispute reportedly became heated after Santiago requested $30,000 per month. She claimed Pierce earned nearly $200 million throughout his NBA career and argued that he had more than enough resources to provide the requested amount.

Pierce pushed back on that figure, arguing that his current financial situation is not what it was during his NBA playing days. He reportedly proposed paying approximately $4,000 per month instead and pointed to Santiago’s own successful career and income.

For now, the court has landed somewhere between the two figures, ordering Pierce to pay $8,508 monthly while leaving the door open for the amount to change as the legal proceedings continue.
