The ongoing divorce between rap superstars Cardi B and Offset took another dramatic turn this week.

According to a report by The Breakfast Club’s Loren Lorosa, a spokesperson from Offset’s team clarified that the rapper’s request for spousal support isn’t about financial need. Instead, they claim Offset is pushing back because Cardi allegedly wants full control — from property and custody to visitation — and that she’s “rarely with their kids.”

“He doesn’t need the money,” the spokesperson said. “This was filed because Cardi B was trying to come at him on things that were not fair in court — deciding when he can see the kids and asking for everything like the property and cars.”

Offset also reportedly believes that Cardi B isn’t present enough in their children’s lives, a claim that quickly sparked a fiery reaction.

Cardi B took to social media to deliver an emotionally charged response, furiously denying the claims and criticizing Offset for airing their private matters in public.

“And the fact that I’m waking up right now to see that this fuck nigga and his fuck ass team I don’t I know it’s not his team. I know it’s it’s his bitch ass. Gonna tell The Breakfast Club the only reason the only reason why this motherfucker asking for spousal support because I was asking for everything because I was asking for everything and because I don’t be with my kids. Yo, you such a fucking pussy ass nigga. Write to my mother.

I want you to die, but I want you to die fucking slow nigga. When you die nigga, I want you to die slow in the bed. And when you die nigga, you gotta think of me.”

This latest development adds another layer of intensity to the high-profile divorce that began when Cardi filed in August 2024. Despite public feuds, both artists have requested joint custody of their children.

As the case unfolds, fans and critics alike are watching closely to see how the courts — and the couple — move forward.
