Lil Durk Denied Bond Again, Judge Cites Rule Violations and No Change in Circumstances

Rapper Lil Durk will remain behind bars following a bond hearing today, as a judge denied his request for release. Court reporter Meghann Cuniff, who was present at the hearing, shared the update on social media, stating simply: “No bail for Lil Durk.”

According to Cuniff, the judge ruled that “nothing has changed” since the last hearing that would justify granting bond. Additionally, the court referenced allegations that Durk has been violating federal custody regulations by using other inmates’ phone accounts and participating in unauthorized three-way calls—both serious infractions under detention rules.

Lil Durk, whose real name is Durk Derrick Banks, has been in custody as he awaits trial on federal charges. His legal team has yet to issue a statement following today’s ruling.
