Ice Spice Reaches Settlement in Copyright Lawsuit Over “In Ha Mood”

Rapper Ice Spice has reached a settlement in a copyright lawsuit related to her 2023 hit song “In Ha Mood.” The 24-year-old Bronx artist faced legal action from Brooklyn rapper D.Chamberz, who accused her of copying elements from his 2021 track “In That Mood.”
The lawsuit alleged significant similarities between the two songs, with D.Chamberz claiming that Ice Spice’s track used key aspects of his work without permission. After legal negotiations, both parties agreed to settle the case outside of court. Though the details of the agreement remain confidential, the settlement allows Ice Spice to move forward without the case overshadowing her career.
This development comes as Ice Spice continues to make waves in the music industry, with her unique style and growing fanbase cementing her as one of hip-hop’s rising stars.
