Halle Bailey Claims DDG Attacked Her, Gets Restraining Order

Halle Bailey has taken legal action against her ex-boyfriend and the father of her child, rapper DDG, alleging multiple incidents of abuse and harassment. According to newly filed court documents, the Little Mermaid star says the situation escalated to physical violence during a January altercation — months after the two officially split in October.

Bailey claims that while buckling their son, Halo, into a car seat during a custody exchange, DDG became enraged and shouted, “Get out of my car, BITCH.” As their baby cried, Bailey says she tried to calm the situation, but it quickly turned violent. She alleges DDG pulled her hair, slammed her face into his steering wheel, and chipped her tooth.

Despite being in pain and emotionally shaken, Bailey says she rode with DDG to his home to ensure Halo’s safety. She reported the incident to his family and left the home “hysterical” with visible bruises and a chipped tooth — injuries she documented in her request for a restraining order.

In a separate March incident, Bailey alleges DDG entered her home uninvited, sent her a photo of her empty bed, and accused her of being unfaithful. Days later, tensions escalated again when Bailey, citing illness, told DDG she didn’t want their child to leave the house. She says DDG responded with verbal abuse, smashed her Ring camera, and took her phone, only to throw it from his car while driving off and yelling, “GO GET IT BITCH.”

Bailey says she filed a police report and provided Ring camera footage to support her claims.

The judge has granted Bailey a domestic violence restraining order, requiring DDG to stay 100 yards away from her and their child. She was also given permission to take nearly 18-month-old Halo with her to Italy, where she will be filming for the next two months. Additionally, the court barred DDG from posting or live-streaming about Bailey or their son.

DDG has not yet responded publicly to the allegations.
