Rapper GloRilla, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, is facing new legal trouble in Georgia after a burglary at her metro Atlanta home led investigators to discover drugs on the property.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a break-in at Woods’ residence around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. Authorities say three suspects entered the home while GloRilla was away and began stealing items. During the incident, someone inside the house opened fire on the intruders, causing them to flee. Investigators do not believe any of the suspects were injured.

While processing the scene, deputies reportedly smelled marijuana and searched the home. Inside the master bedroom closet, they found a “significant amount” of marijuana along with a controlled substance.

As a result, GloRilla was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance. She turned herself in to the Forsyth County Jail on Tuesday and was released shortly after posting a $22,260 bond.

Sheriff Ron Freeman issued a statement addressing the dual nature of the case: “The homeowner is a victim of a serious crime, and we are committed to bringing the suspects to justice. At the same time, we must continue to uphold and enforce the law in all aspects of this case.”

This incident adds to the rapper’s growing list of legal issues in Georgia. Just months earlier, in April 2024, GloRilla was arrested in Gwinnett County for DUI after officers said they observed her making an illegal U-turn. Bodycam footage from that stop showed the rapper allegedly struggling with sobriety tests and telling officers, “Do you know who I am?”

As her legal troubles mount, fans are watching closely to see how the charges may impact her rising career.
