Claressa Shields Opens Up About Relationship with Papoose and Addresses His Divorce 

In a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, boxing champion Claressa Shields candidly discussed her relationship with rapper Papoose and addressed the ongoing divorce proceedings between Papoose and his estranged wife, Remy Ma.

Shields revealed that her relationship with Papoose began well before it became public knowledge. She emphasized their close bond, stating, “I’m with him every day. And when we’re not together, we’re on the phone. We FaceTime. We love each other. That’s just what it is.” 

When questioned about Papoose’s pending divorce, Shields maintained a respectful stance, saying, “I don’t know what’s going on in his personal life… that’s not my place to speak on.” She further clarified that the divorce proceedings are between Papoose and Remy Ma, and she chooses not to involve herself in their personal matters.

Addressing rumors and public speculation, Shields expressed her desire to keep their relationship private, stating, “I enjoyed the privacy of it.” She also mentioned that their connection grew stronger over time, sharing that they would often fall asleep on the phone together for months.

Regarding Remy Ma, Shields conveyed that she harbors no ill feelings, even though they haven’t communicated directly. “I don’t have any hate toward her. Women are women. We’re emotional creatures,” she said.

Despite the public attention and rumors, Shields remains focused on her relationship with Papoose and continues to prioritize her personal and professional life.
