Ciara Reflects on Sweet Reunion with Rihanna at 2025 Met Gala

Ciara brought warmth and sisterhood to her recent appearance on Sherri, where she opened up about reuniting with Rihanna at the 2025 Met Gala—and it was all love, laughs, and “mommy talk.”

Host Sherri Shepherd kicked things off by noting the viral moment where Ciara was seen touching Rihanna’s baby bump. “Congratulations to her,” Ciara smiled. “Yes—and she had announced her pregnancy!”

The reunion was especially meaningful, as Ciara had just welcomed her own child, and Rihanna is now expecting her third. “It was so sweet running into her,” Ciara said. “I just have to shout her out because I’m so proud of her. This is her third baby she’s having now.”

The heartfelt moment didn’t stop at the red carpet. Ciara shared that both of their partners—Russell Wilson and A$AP Rocky—were there too. “We all took a picture together,” she said, laughing about the conversation that followed. “We started talking about Cinco, because you and I have four. So we’re talking about Cinco—the fifth. And then we started talking about Quattro for her, but she’s gotta get through the tres first!”

“It was straight mommy talk,” Ciara added. “Just sweet love. It’s a special moment for her.” She also revealed that Rihanna had previously sent her a heartfelt message saying how proud she was of Ciara, which made their reunion even more meaningful.
