Sean “Diddy” Combs was reportedly transported out of federal prison early Saturday morning after experiencing a medical emergency, according to a report from TMZ.

Sources at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey told TMZ that the music mogul was taken off prison grounds around 1 a.m. to receive treatment for a head injury. Although he was presumably taken to a nearby hospital, TMZ reported that it had not independently confirmed his destination.

According to the report, Diddy was conscious and speaking when he returned to the prison before sunrise. Sources indicated that the injury was not believed to be life-threatening, but the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.

What caused the head injury has not been confirmed. There is also no publicly confirmed explanation in the report detailing what happened before Diddy was transported for treatment.

The reported medical emergency comes after a turbulent stretch for Diddy behind bars.
