Kehlani Forced to Cancel Two Tour Stops After Hospital Visit ‘Unable to Swallow and in So Much Pain’

Kehlani is putting their health first after a sudden medical scare forced the singer to step away from the stage.

The Grammy-winning artist revealed that after feeling completely normal during two days off, they suddenly became ill overnight and experienced severe pain and difficulty swallowing, ultimately requiring a hospital visit. Doctors did not clear Kehlani to sing for the next two performances. 

As a result, the Camden, New Jersey and Washington, D.C.-area stops on the Kehlani World Tour have been canceled while the singer recovers.

Kehlani apologized to fans and explained that their team is working on a solution for the affected dates, adding that having to cancel performances was heartbreaking.

The good news is that Kehlani currently expects the tour to resume in Virginia, making this a temporary pause rather than the end of the run. 

Health comes first — always. We’re wishing Kehlani a speedy recovery and hoping they’re able to return to the stage when they’re fully ready.
