📺🔥 Shemar Moore & Vivica A. Fox Reunite on The Young and the Restless — Malcolm & Stephanie Back After 30 Years!

A reunion three decades in the making is about to shake up daytime TV.

The Young and the Restless is bringing back two fan favorites this spring as Shemar Moore returns as Malcolm Winters — and he’s not coming alone. Vivica A. Fox is officially reprising her role as Dr. Stephanie Simmons for a multi-episode storyline set to air in April.

CBS confirmed the pair began taping scenes on Feb. 17, teasing that Malcolm and Stephanie’s surprising return will have “shocking and lasting implications” for the residents of Genoa City.

Fans will remember that Malcolm and Stephanie were once romantically involved during Fox’s original run in the mid-‘90s. Their relationship ended due to Stephanie’s demanding career, and she eventually left town in 1995. Now, with Malcolm previously returning to Genoa City as a single man, viewers are wondering if sparks will fly again.

Moore originally portrayed Malcolm from 1994 to 2005. As the half-brother of Neil Winters (played by the late Kristoff St. John), Malcolm is deeply rooted in the show’s legacy. Moore has returned several times over the years, including for the soap’s 50th anniversary in 2023, when the show honored Neil with a touching tribute episode.

Since his daytime breakout, Moore went on to star in hit series like Criminal Minds and S.W.A.T., and he recently wrapped production on the spinoff S.W.A.T. Exiles.

As for Fox, her time on Y&R helped launch her career into blockbuster territory. While starring on the soap, she auditioned for Independence Day — a role she nearly lost due to industry bias against soap actors. After multiple callbacks and a key endorsement from a producer’s wife who watched her on Y&R, Fox landed the part, catapulting her into film stardom.

Now, 30 years later, both stars are returning to the soap that helped shape their careers — and fans are already bracing for the drama.
