Cardi B is letting the courts know her side of the story. The Bronx superstar recently testified in a civil trial against former security guard Emani Ellis, who claims Cardi assaulted her during an incident back in 2018.

According to Cardi, the clash went down when she was four months pregnant and visiting her obstetrician’s office in Beverly Hills. Cardi says Ellis began following her and recording her on a smartphone, sparking a heated confrontation in the hallway.

The Grammy-winning rapper admitted she called Ellis a “bitch”—but insists the beef was strictly verbal.

“We got in each other’s faces, but I never touched her,” Cardi testified.

Ellis, however, painted a different picture on the stand. She claimed Cardi swung at her and even used her long fingernails to slice her cheek. Cardi shut that all the way down, saying Ellis was “way bigger” than her and there’s no way she would’ve tried to physically attack.

Interestingly, Cardi says she never saw the alleged recording Ellis was making. Still, the moment escalated enough that it’s now playing out in court.
