Dez Bryant & Nicki Minaj Go Nuclear in $10M Fight Challenge Over Jerry Jones & Roc Nation Drama

What started as a little NFL venting just turned into one of the messiest and most unexpected celebrity beefs of 2025.

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant hopped on X (formerly Twitter) to send Cowboys owner Jerry Jones a subtle warning: “I don’t think it’s smart to mention my name… I kept quiet about a lot of unfair stuff… on some G stuff… We can have story time if that’s what we are doing.”

That “story time” energy caught the attention of none other than Nicki Minaj, who slid right into the conversation. “Hey, it’s Nicki. Minaj. How about we play a game?” she tweeted. Nicki claimed that every time Dez told an NFL or Jerry Jones story, she’d spill her own tea on Roc Nation, Jay-Z, and CEO Desiree Perez — whom she called an “alleged racist.”

Nicki’s tweets came laced with playful Saw movie GIFs, but her undertone was dead serious. She promised to use Dez’s storytelling as a trigger to finally air out her long-running beef with Roc Nation.

Dez tried to keep it light, calling Nicki a “queen” and insisting he wasn’t trying to get in her business. But social media wouldn’t let him off the hook, dragging him deeper into the chaos. Nicki then brought up a 2020 article tying him to one of her old beefs — which he denied — and that’s when things turned from funny to hostile.

Nicki took it up a notch, referencing Dez’s past domestic dispute with his mother and accusing Roc Nation of manipulating narratives in the Black community. Dez fired back, defending himself and bringing up Nicki’s husband Kenneth Petty’s criminal record.

The back-and-forth reached a wild peak when Nicki sarcastically offered Dez $10 million to fight her husband. Dez clapped back hard:

“Go get that 10 million in cash.. I’ll stomp that nigga out right in front of you.. and it’s ROC for life bitch.”

At that point, Twitter went nuclear. Nicki responded with even more bombshells about Roc Nation execs, political betrayals, and Dez’s personal past — while Dez doubled down on his loyalty to Roc Nation and his readiness to throw hands.
