Chris Webber Slams Rumors of Affair with Former Teammate Doug Christie’s Wife Jackie and Claims He Fathered Their Eldest Daughter

Chris Webber has broken his silence as wild allegations swirl online, accusing him of fathering the eldest daughter of his former Sacramento Kings teammate, Doug Christie — a claim that would suggest a decades-old affair with Christie’s wife, Jackie.

The salacious rumor, reportedly tied to an unverified $4.6 million lawsuit, has gained traction on social media despite there being no official court filings or evidence to support it. On Tuesday, June 10, Webber took matters into his own hands, posting a video message on social media to shut down the speculation once and for all.

“What’s up, party people? Man, the Internet is undefeated, huh?” the former NBA All-Star began. “That’s why I’m going to give this friendly reminder… you can’t believe everything you read, see, or hear… Especially when they’re all lies. No proof, just made-up lies.”

Visibly frustrated, Webber issued a stern warning to content creators, bloggers, and media outlets circulating the claim.

“If you have a platform and you have content with my name attached to lies, take it down now,” he said. “To those that started the rumors, that started the lies and continued to spread the lies… I dare you not to take it down. I dare you to repeat the lie. You are not going to defame my name. Of course, the lawyers are in action… Of course, they are emotional and motivated.”

While confronting the allegations head-on, Webber also pivoted to promote his new book, By God’s Grace, which he describes as a spiritual and personal roadmap for staying grounded through life’s distractions.

“If anyone else wants some insight, a story, or some tools on how to get through the distractions and how to stay focused… go get my book By God’s Grace, By God’s Grace, By God’s Grace,” he said, repeating the title for emphasis. “The enemy wants us to be distracted.”

Despite the attention the rumor has garnered, no legal records currently exist to validate the alleged lawsuit involving Webber and the Christies. However, Webber’s defiant and emotional response makes it clear: he has no intention of letting his name be dragged without a fight.
