R&B Singer Jaheim Arrested on Animal Cruelty Charges Involving Six Dogs

FULTON COUNTY, GA — R&B artist Jaheim Hoagland, known simply as Jaheim, was arrested on May 1 and charged with six counts of animal cruelty, according to newly released court documents.
The three-time Grammy-nominated singer — celebrated for early 2000s hits like “Put That Woman First,” “Fabulous,” and “Finding My Way Back” — was booked into the Fulton County Jail and released the following day.
Authorities say Jaheim failed to provide his six dogs with adequate water, proper sanitation, and ventilation. The named animals — Tweet (Pit Bull Terrier), Tip (French Bulldog), Taka (Hound Mix), Tink (Pit Bull), Timber (Pit Bull), and Tanger (Pit Bull) — were reportedly kept in unsanitary and inhumane conditions.
This is not Jaheim’s first brush with animal welfare law enforcement. He previously faced scrutiny in 2021 when New Jersey authorities discovered multiple dogs in distress at his home, leading to animal cruelty charges.
A court date has not yet been publicly confirmed. Jaheim has not made an official public statement regarding the charges.
