Kanye West has entered the conversation surrounding the high-profile federal trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs, voicing his disappointment over Kid Cudi’s decision to testify against the music mogul.

In a now-deleted tweet posted Saturday (May 24), Ye expressed support for Diddy and criticism of Cudi’s courtroom appearance in the ongoing United States v. Sean Combs case.

“I wish Cudi hadn’t testified against Puff,” Kanye wrote. “We need not to be locked in white systems.”

Ye went on to send prayers for Diddy and his family, some of whom have been seen attending the trial proceedings in New York.

“Praying for Puff and his family. Praying for Puff Daddy and the Family.”

While Kanye didn’t elaborate on his comments or provide specifics about his stance on the charges, the post marks the first time he’s publicly weighed in on the explosive case, which includes allegations of sex trafficking, assault, and racketeering against the Bad Boy founder.

Kid Cudi, who once shared a mentor-protégé relationship with Kanye, reportedly testified about a past incident involving Diddy allegedly having his Porsche blown up following a personal falling out.
