Cassie Ventura Closes Out Testimony Against Diddy With Emotional Statement After 20 Hours on the Stand

Cassie Ventura has officially concluded her testimony in the high-profile federal case against Sean “Diddy” Combs, ending more than 20 hours of emotional, often graphic testimony with a powerful statement read by her attorney on Friday, May 16.
The 38-year-old singer and former partner of the music mogul addressed the court and the public through her attorney, Douglas Wigdor, following her final appearance on the witness stand in a Manhattan courtroom.
“This week has been extremely challenging but also remarkably empowering and healing for me,” Ventura said in her statement. “I hope that my testimony has given strength and a voice to other survivors and can help others who have suffered to speak up and also heal from abuse and fear.”
Ventura, who dated Diddy from 2006 to 2018, testified in detail about what she described as years of systemic abuse—physical, sexual, and psychological. Her accounts included being punched, dragged, stomped, coerced into drug use, and forced into degrading acts for Diddy’s voyeuristic pleasure.
One of the most disturbing parts of her testimony involved “freak-offs”—multi-day sexual encounters with escorts arranged by Diddy. Ventura said she felt she couldn’t say no, fearing retaliation or blackmail, and revealed that she sometimes required IV fluids afterward due to physical exhaustion. She also disclosed developing an opioid addiction to “feel numb.”
In one of the most devastating allegations, Ventura claimed Diddy raped her in 2018 after she tried to end the relationship.
Diddy’s legal team attempted to counter her testimony by presenting explicit messages exchanged between the two, arguing that they reflected mutual consent. Ventura acknowledged the messages but emphasized that they were sent under psychological control and manipulation. “For me, the more I heal, the more I can remember. And the more I can remember, the more I will never forget,” she said.
As she wrapped up her testimony, Ventura expressed gratitude and requested privacy:
“I want to thank my family and my advocates for their unwavering support and I’m grateful for all the kindness and encouragement that I have received. I’m glad to put this chapter of my life to rest. As I turn to focus on the conclusion of my pregnancy, I ask for privacy for me and for my growing…”
Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges, which include sex trafficking, transportation for prostitution, and racketeering. The case continues to unfold, with Ventura’s testimony now a central pillar in what is likely to be a landmark trial.
