Diddy’s Rep Responds to Dropped Rape Lawsuit Against Him and Jay-Z
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ representative has responded after an amended civil lawsuit accusing him and Jay-Z of raping a then-13-year-old girl following the 2000 VMAs was dismissed. The lawsuit, which had been filed anonymously, was dropped without a settlement.
Diddy’s team issued a strong statement, calling the dismissal a confirmation that the lawsuit was based on falsehoods. “Today’s complete dismissal without a settlement by the 1-800 attorney is yet another confirmation that these lawsuits are built on falsehoods, not facts,” the statement read. “For months, we have seen case after case filed by individuals hiding behind anonymity, pushed forward by an attorney more focused on media headlines than legal merit.”
The rep further emphasized, “Sean Combs has never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone—man or woman, adult or minor,” adding that no amount of lawsuits or media coverage would alter the reality. Diddy’s legal team made it clear that they would continue to challenge baseless claims, stressing that this dismissal is just one of many cases that will fail in court.
