Lil Wayne Reveals “The Carter VI” Release Date In New ‘Cetaphil’ Super Bowl Commercial

Lil Wayne Drops Special Cetaphil Ad with Major “Carter VI” Hint
Lil Wayne surprised fans today with a playful yet poignant extended Cetaphil ad titled “We’re All a Lil Sensitive.” In the ad, Wayne humorously channels his sensitive side, offering help to people in awkward situations, like an overwhelmed diner with a massive bar tab and a dad finding a condom in his daughter’s friend’s wallet.
However, the real treat for fans is the hidden clue he dropped about his long-awaited Tha Carter VI. Throughout the ad, there are subtle references to the date June 6, 2025—seen on jerseys, a basketball scoreboard, and most notably, a door sign reading “Do Not Disturb Til’ 06-06-25 CARTER VI.” This appears to be a confirmation of when Wayne’s next major album will drop, likely a Friday, the traditional release day for new music.
The ad comes on the heels of Wayne’s disappointment at not being chosen to perform at Super Bowl LVII, a moment he’s seemingly embraced with a sense of humor and a determination to focus on his next big project. Wayne collaborated with dermatologist Dr. Muneed Shah in the ad, and the commercial will air exclusively in New Orleans during the Super Bowl, giving the rap icon a special connection to his hometown.
Wayne explained his motivation behind the campaign, saying, “Showing a sensitive side isn’t a weakness—it’s a power. There’s nothing more real than turning those types of moments into a display of strength.” It looks like Wayne is ready to channel that strength into Tha Carter VI, arriving this June.
