Michael Jordan Turned Down Idris Elba’s Request to Play Him in a Biopic
Who wouldn’t want to play Michael Jordan in his official biopic. And who wouldn’t want to have Idris Elba portray them right? Idris Elba says he approached Michael Jordan hoping to play him in a movie, but the NBA legend wasn’t interested.
Elba appeared on Complex’s “Sneaker Shopping” podcast and revealed what happen when he approached the NBA legend about it.
“I even said to him one time, ‘I want to play you,'” Elba explains. “He was like, ‘Hm, I’m not ready yet.’ That’s what he said, ‘I’m not ready yet.’ … I was dead serious.”
