🎤 50 Cent Fires Back at T.I. on New “Power Origins” Theme Song Featuring Leon Thomas

It looks like 50 Cent isn’t letting up anytime soon. The G-Unit boss just delivered on his promise to drop new music — and it came with a few bars aimed straight at T.I.

On Thursday, 50 released the theme song for his upcoming series Power Origins titled “No One Told Us What We’re Here For” featuring singer and producer Leon Thomas. The record blends soulful vocals with gritty storytelling — the same formula that helped make the Power franchise a cultural phenomenon.

But fans quickly noticed the Queens rapper seemingly slipped a diss into the track, which many believe is aimed at longtime rival T.I..

In one of the standout lines, 50 raps:

“I’m back on my dope boy grammar / Your daddy made your mama eat every box in Atlanta / Freak sht / Peep sht / Keep sht on the low / But everybody know.”*

The lyrics immediately sparked conversation online, especially since 50 and T.I. have been going back and forth publicly in recent weeks. The feud escalated after social media trolling and multiple diss tracks from the Atlanta rapper, with both sides trading jabs across music and Instagram posts.

While the line may be a clear shot, 50 is also using the moment to promote the next chapter of his television empire. Power Origins is the latest addition to the massively successful Power Universe on Starz, which has already spawned several spinoffs and become one of the network’s biggest franchises.

The new series will explore the early beginnings of the characters that helped build the Power legacy, giving fans a deeper look into how the empire started.

With new music, a new show, and a heated rap rivalry unfolding at the same time, 50 Cent clearly knows how to keep the spotlight exactly where he wants it.
