Looks like there’s tension brewing between 21 Savage and Fivio Foreign — and it all started with a podcast comment that didn’t sit right.

On Thursday (Jan. 22), Fivio Foreign pulled up to DJ Akademiks’ Off The Record podcast, where the conversation shifted to 21 Savage’s recent stance denouncing street life. While discussing 21’s message about moving differently, Fivio questioned whether the Atlanta rapper was ever really “street” to begin with.

“What’s making you think that Savage is a street nia? He said fk the streets,” Fivio said. “Street nia where? In Atlanta? … Them nigas is all cap. Trust me. It’s all show.”

Those comments quickly made their way back to 21 — and he wasn’t about to let that slide.

Hopping on Instagram Live, 21 Savage fired back directly.

“Fivio Foreign, shut your bih a*s up, niga. Stop saying my muthafuin name,” 21 snapped. “Don’t think ’cause Savage on some positive sh*t, that it’s ‘Oh, let’s talk about Savage every day.’ Nah, this ain’t that. Y’all nias will still get y’all a*s whooped. Straight up.”

But Fivio wasn’t backing down.

The following day (Jan. 23), the Brooklyn rapper doubled down on his stance via Instagram Stories, writing:

“I said what I said. No back & forth w a n*gga who said F the streets.”

The tension stems from 21 Savage’s December post where he publicly distanced himself from street culture.

“F**k the streets we ain’t get sht but trauma from that sht,” 21 wrote on X, even encouraging Young Thug and Gunna to reconcile.

While some artists like Young Thug and G Herbo supported 21’s message about growth and moving forward, others — like Fivio — seem skeptical.

Whether this turns into a full-blown rap beef or just social media smoke remains to be seen. But one thing is clear — both rappers are standing ten toes on what they said.
