The entertainment world is mourning the loss of Kiki Shepard, the beloved longtime co-host of Showtime at the Apollo, who has passed away at the age of 74.

According to reports, Shepard suffered a massive heart attack in Los Angeles on Monday. Her passing was described as sudden and completely unexpected.

Kiki Shepard became a household name during her legendary run on Showtime at the Apollo from 1987 to 2002, where she graced the stage alongside Steve Harvey. Together, they helped introduce countless rising stars to audiences at the world-famous Apollo Theater in New York.

Beyond the Apollo stage, Shepard built an impressive acting career, appearing in popular shows like A Different World, Baywatch, NYPD Blue, Everybody Hates Chris, and Grey’s Anatomy.

She also made her presence felt on the big screen, including a role in the holiday film Blackjack Christmas.
